Hello,
I am an Indian national currently working in the US and wish to travel to Oman via UK (transit under 24 hours, no airport change required).
I wish to find out if I will require a UK transit visa.
Below are my details:
- I have an expired US H1B visa
- Valid I-797 (US work permit)
- Valid Canadian visa
- Entered canada within 6 months
- Have valid visa for Oman
One of the DATV exemptions state that:
A valid airline ticket for travel through the UK as part of a journey from Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the United States of America to another country or territory, as long as you do not transit (pass through) the UK on a date more than six months after the date on which you last entered Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the United States of America with a valid visa for that country.
Would i qualify for this exemption since i have a valid canadian visa & entered canada within 6 months or do i need to fly out of canada to qualify?
Thanks very much,
