Tier 1 visa -- salary question

Would appreciate your help -- For the Tier 1 visa, I believe the points for salary are based on gross salary which shows-up on the pay slips. However, as a second proof of earnings, the bank statements only show net salaries. Are we required to show a second proof of the taxes and other deductions that were deducted in order to get to net salaries?
