Hi everyone,
I am here in UK on Post Study Work Visa, which is gonna expire on 7th May, 2010. I was under impression that I was qualifying for applying under Tier 1 General. But my solicitors told me that I am short of 5 points.
Therefore i should not apply and go back to my country. But I have some personal problems whereby I wish to stay for at leat 2-3 months more after my visa expiry.
Now my question is: just to extend my stay further 2-3 months, should I go with my Tier 1 visa application. And let it to be refused by visa officer. But I am not sure how much time would this whole process take? wheather it will take 2-3 months (as there is some time to get biometrics done in between) or visa officer would straight forward refuse it within few days (may be less than 1 month). In that case even my visa fee would also be an additional expense.
Does any one know, if my visa is refused, within how many days I need to leave this country? Is it 28 days or something else?
I know its bit wiered situation, but I am really have a big family problem to solve before leaving this country. Thats why I need 2-3 more months to stay here in UK.
