Transit through UK
Hi,
I'm a holder of Indian passport, currently residing in Ireland (PhD Student/Researcher). I have booked my travel to India on 8th Jun 2010 through Emirates airlines - DUBLIN-MANCHESTER-DUBAI-BANGALORE.
While booking, I had checked with Emirates if I need to have a valid transit visa for travelling through Manchester and the answer was no, it is not required.
I will be arriving from Dublin on terminal 1 in Manchester @ 18:45 Hrs and boarding the flight to Dubai from terminal 1 @ 21:00 Hrs on the same day (8th June)
While scanning the UK VISA page, I came across a DATV (direct airside transit visa) requirement. I'm confused now and looking forward to your advise
