Non payments of credit card in UK

Hi friends, i dont know this is right forum for my Q but my Q is related to UK.

I had credit card of just 2000 pound value in UK. I used that credit card but could not pay back coz i lost job. Than eventually, i left UK settled in europe for the last 2 yrs. Now i want to migrate to canada. They need police clerence report from UK. Iam worried now. will my name come in police list coz i did't pay my credit card? i know its not criminal act. If my name comes in police report how will it affect my immigration to Canada? pls comment.

Not sure how it works in UK but in USA, credit card debts are not reported to the police. It simply screws your credit for 7 to 10 years.
On another note, I know people who deliberately empty out their credit cards before they leave the country. Now if you look at the spending/cashing trend on the credit card statement, anyone can figure out the intent. That would be considered a FRAUD.
Since you are in Europe now for last past 2 years, I am sure holding a job, why don't you call the credit card company in good faith and arrange payments.

No, iam not working right now. No i had no intention to empty card beofre leaving the country. I can prove it by showing my car loan which i paid till march 2010 being livivng in europe in UK bank.
