EU Settlement Scheme family permit to join family in the UK

Hi, I am EU citizen with UK Settled status so do my 6 years old kid. Im not married, and kid mum is non EU. Would it be better for her to apply through me or kid as a parent and dependend child, cuz both simes possible. Are both eligible to apply for pre settled status later? Would it be possible to go through me and as proof of previous ongoing relations ship show kid birth cert, may b few photos or something attach to online form? Cuz through kid it look pretty much stright forward, birth cert and thats it I guess. Any idea how to go about it? Aplly through me as partner or kid? Thx

You should have the child's mother apply for settled status in the UK through her relationship with the child, i.e. as the mother of an EU citizen who has settled status in the UK
