Dear all,
I need some help.
I will be applying for a spouse visa for my wife. She is Japanese .
I recently received the British passports for my 2 kids who are half British/half Japanese.
So receiving them was a huge boost as I was so stressed at the time.
Anyway sorry back to the spouse visa.
My wife has to take an English test to prove her English proficiency.
She has grade pre 1 at eiken which is equivalent to B1 CERF which is more than enough for the visa.
But I'm not actualy sure if eiken is accepted by the British government. The silly thing is, she is an English teacher in Japan.
Can anyone advise me if eiken is accepted , I found a company which is mentioned on the UK GOV website who can certificate English proficiency results . So I think I should be able to get my wife's eiken results certificated.
If eiken, is not accepted, then she is going to have to go to Tokyo and take a test, which ( without sounding rude, is rediculous ) her English is better than mine. Haha
Can anyone advise?
Thank you
Ps: I forgot to say, it mentions the tests need to be UKVI whatever that means?
