US born child to UK immigration question

Hello,

I am a EU citizen with an EU passport living in the UK (I do not hold a UK Passport) having settled status. My son and his mother are both US citizens living in the US. My name is on my sons birth certificate stating I am his father.

My question is a simple one. Can my son get residency in the UK without my consent?

I don't think it matters if you consent or not. EU citizenship doesn't get you UK residency if you're not already there. That window closed at the end of 2020.

How so , I am living in the UK with settled status for over 20 years. The gov website says that I can get my family across. The question is, do they need my consent?
