  • ILR for newborn in UK

    Hi Everyone,

We have ILR coming up in August and baby is born in UK with UK birth certificate. We have a couple of queries. We are planning to travel to India in October.

    1. Should we directly apply for baby's British passport after our ILR or first apply for baby's ILR along with our application?
    2. If we apply for baby's ILR along with our application then do we need Indian passport for baby's ILR application? We have birth certificate from UK.

    Thanks

I think it goes like this:
You can apply for a British passport for your baby after your ILR is granted, or you can apply together with your baby's ILR if they already have a UK birth certificate.
If your baby doesn't have an Indian passport, you only need their birth certificate for the ILR application. If your baby has an Indian passport, you need to provide that as well.
    Good luck!
