Tourist Visa for a 2-3 days stay in the UK

I am an Indian citizen living in the US on an F1 visa. What visa would I require to stay in the UK for a few days on my flight from the US to India.
I have heard about the ShenZen visa. Is that something I could acquire and use?

Citizens of India require a visa for any visit to the UK. You will need a visitor visa. The Schengen visa is for the Schengen zone whose members are in mainland Europe (though not all countries on the continent) and the UK is not a member state.
