  • Direct Airside Transit Visa - British Airways

    Hello experts,

I graduated on May 2011 and started working in OPT after graduation. My company applied for my H1b and I got my H1B approval notice.
I am going to India to get my visa stamped. I am traveling by British Airways. I have a small stop over at London Heathrow and have to take a connecting flight to India from there. I don't have to change airlines or airport. My F1 visa expiry date is March 2015. Based on the above details,
I would like to know if I have to get the Direct Airside transit visa. Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Regards,
    -Sashi

Since your F1 Visa is valid, you don't need DATV.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

        Hey Sashi,

I am having the same situation as yours. I just want to know, whether you were able to make it to INDIA without a Direct airside transit Visa or not? Did the ask you any questions?

        Thanks you,
        Malav

Direct Airside Transit Visa - British Airways

I am travelling to India from Houston via Heathrow with my kids 6 & 3 yrs old. We are not leaving the airport and just have 3 hrs in between flights and will be in the same terminal, all of us have valid H4 visa and also have return tickets.

Can somebody advice us on whether we need the Transit visa for me and the kids.
