London transit with l2 petition

My latest visa displayed on passport is L1 with validity displaying until 2013 . I have now converted to l2 while in US and have l2 petition and i94 until 2015 but this is not stamped and hence not displayed on passport. I am confused if my case is good to travel via london without transit visa. Can you advise. Transit is from heathrow airport.

Say you are going from the U.S. to India and have a stop over in London. The question you need to ask yourself: once at the London airport, instead of taking a flight to India, if I decide to take flight right back to the U.S., will U.S. let me in? If yes, you don't need UK transkit visa. If no, you need UK transit visa.
