Indian passport for minor in India

Hello,

We are US citizens (naturalized), orign of India.

From an orphanage in India we adopted a child. The indian court has granted guardianship instead of adoption status. We are going to India and apply for the child's passport in Tatkal scheme in India. I have the following questions regarding that:
- Since the court has only issuued guardianship, can we apply the passport in Tatkal scheme?
- And, what are all the documents necessary to apply the passport in India?
