Hi everyone
I was born in UK (which is listed as an ineligible country) but left when I was 5 years old and have lived in Australia most of my life. I also hold an Australian citizenship.
My parents were born in Malaysia but did reside in the UK for 8 years when they had me there. The DV lottery website states that 'if you were born in a country whose natives are ineligible but neither of your parents was born there or resided there at the time of your birth, you may claim nativity in one of your parents countries of birth if it is one of the countries that qualifies for the DV program'.
Because my parents resided there when they had me, does that makes me ineligible? Is there another way around this?
Thanks!
