I currently hold a B1/B2 visa and have been to US 4 times in 3 years. Each still is a week or two long and have been all for business. On my recent trip, i made a decision to permanently move to US. I am considering my options and i think the easiest way for would be to apply for EB5 visa as an investor and i have following questions:
a) It says, investor must invest $1,000,000 or $5,00,000 (in Rural areas). Is there a way to get a list of these areas where half a million dollar can be invested? This will help me a lot since i will have to invest only half of it.
b) Can this investment be made in real estates? I Understand, it says the investment should produce 10 full time jobs but say i set up a real estate company and produce some jobs which aren't full time like general contractors etc?
c) Can i borrow here in India to invest this money? I own some real estate worth more than 1.5 million USD here in india. I was thiking of not selling those properties and investing by borrowing against those. Say i have my own $200,000 and i borrow rest $300,000. Does that qualify?
