Asylum Case Expedition / Marrying US citizen

Hi, is it possible to ask for expedition of asylum case? Like going there or sending a letter requesting an answer. Will that ever have any affect on case?

I'm asking because I might marry a US citizen next year and I want to know what will happen to my asylum case if I apply for Green Card through marriage? Should I just wait for my asylum or can I file a separate petition based on marriage?

You can file a separate petition. This should not affect your asylum case. The two cases should be treated separately.
