Applied for the visa lottery however planning to process a fiancee visa.

I applied for the visa lottery, however soon we are going to apply for fiancee visa because my fiancee and I would like to get married next year. He is from the US and I am from the Netherlands. Is it allowed to apply for the Fiancee visa even though I already applied for the visa lottery?
