Question about the requirements for the DV-Lottery

I am currently attending the german "Gymnasium", a equivalent to the american highschool.
I want to enter the Diversity Visa Lottery, even though I haven't graduated yet.
As far as I am concerned I won't have to sumit proof until I get the confirmation.
I will recieve my school certificate in early July 2017.
Can I apply nevertheless, or will I have to wait another year?

Yes, you can. The DV 2018 application are now open until November 7, 2016.
