Hello everyone!
I have a pending asylum status for about 2 years. During this time the circumstances in my home country have changed and I would like to withdraw my asylum case and come back.
If I send a withdrawal letter to asylum office and attach the air ticket, would it be possible to apply for a B1/B2 or other types of non-immigration visas in the future?
Following the notes I've read on the Internet and rumors I've heard, a political asylum case, even withdrawn in a timely manner is a red flag for getting any visas in the future (either lifetime ban or 3/10 years bar).
What is the safest way to act in my situation? I got many friends here and it would be great if I could visit them later.
Thanks!
