Dear members,
My wife has won a green card and we were at the interview today. However, they just asked us to come back in a week so that they can get more information on an issue we have.
The problem is as follows:
- We have married in mid 2006, but not officially. We just had a party with friends and relatives.
- We filled out the initial online application in 2006 as a married couple.
- We received a letter from KCC asking us to fill out some forms and provide information.
- We registered our marriage in two months, put the date in the forms, and sent them back.
- We received another letter last month and were invited for an interview
- We went to the interview today, but the officer told us that he has to check it with Washington whether we can get the greencards or not, since we have officially married sometime between sending the online form and the second form.
I would like to know if they can reject us for this problem. Can anybody help?
