I am an African/ Canadian living in the US and I have an important immigration question that people do not seem to know how to answer. I have just won the green card 2010 lottery and I am in the US working on a TN visa (I am a Canadian citizen too). My TN visa will expire end of august 2009. If I do adjustment of status, I have to wait until October 2009 to file. If I do consular processing, I can send my documents now. I asked and I was told that I can do both. Now, if I apply this week for an extension of the TN from within the Us, can I send my documents for the lottery one week after for consular processing not to lose my number? what is this losing the number thing? does it matter if I do it consular versus adjustment of status? What is the best option for me? My wife is costa rican and she is on her OPT. What is this foreign chargeabillity? does it mean if for Africa there are no visa numbers, I can get the costa rican one? I need to know when I can send my documents for consular processing knowing that next week I will file for my TN renewal. Will I secure a number this way? Thank you.

First consultations are usually free and might give you an idea of what steps are needed.

I was wondering if you had you responses ?
I'm Canadian, in US working on TN and I'm tempted to apply for the GC lottery. I don't know if it's legal te request for one since we are not allowed to GC under TN Visa ?
Thanks for your tips.
