How to bring child if i got dv lottery visa after mention no kids

Hello all,
A friend and his wife Got their green card through DV a year ago but they didn't mention that they have kids.
it's been a year now since they moved to the US, Now they want to bring their son to the US, what they should do?

I do not understand why people do things like this. By not mentioning that they had a child on their registration means they lied to the US government. The instructions clearly ask for how many children under 21 that you have and their details even if they are not immigrating with you. So what will be their excuse if and when they apply to get the child a green card? They did not know they had a child?
