DV lottery and dual citizenship

Hi all, I can't find a solid answer for this question, let me know if you can help me.

I was born in Brazil but I am also a citizen of Italy. Brazil is not eligible for DV but Italy is, can I apply to it using my Italian passport? I went through the dv website docs and google searches but I'm not really sure if it is possible or not.

No. Eligibility is only based on country of birth. Citizenship doesn't matter.

If you have a spouse who has a different country of birth, you can cross-charge to that country.
