There is a family of two, the wife is Russian and the husband is Indian, met and got married in USA. Both retain citizenship of their respectful countries. The wife says she is afraid to bring her husband with her to Russia, because in the place where she is from there is growing incidence of hate crime based on race and nationality, with local people attacking foreigners, specifically Asians. There was a well documented civil unrest recently with groups of skinheads attacking and killing several foreigners. Also the spouses are concerned that whether they will go to India or Russia, their future children may face difficulties adjusting socially. Do you think this family can stand a chance of making a valid asylum case in USA based on this situation?
