Living in the Philippines, are a USA citizen, I married a filipina and her son is 14 1/2 yrs old. I would like to adopt her son [my stepson] so that he can work in the USA or Guam after he gets his HS diploma here in the Philippines. He is and will be living with me after the adoption.
Does adoption in the Philippines have to be done thought a attorney here, and how long does this take?
Can I still live stay here as a resident in the Philippines and adopt/gain legal custody and he can get a USA passport to go to Guam/USA when he is 18yrs old to work?
