Hi, I am an attorney in Sydney Australia and I have been asked what VISA a young 17 year old travelling with her mother (her carer) should get to travel to the USA.
She is a young singer songwriter and has been recognised in the top 10 young songwriters in Australia for the past two years at the 'Australian Songwriters Association' awards nights in the youth category. Jackie Ward is her name.
She wants to travel to the US to look into recording in studios in the US and possibly entering some song writers competitions whilst there. If she wins prize money are there any implications? What VISA should she apply for?
She does not intend to work and is planning to go initially for 3 months.
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
