When I was 13 years of age I went to the States with a Visa, but my family stayed after the Visa expired and so did I (My aunt, who is a resident, asked for residency for our family but that, I believe, is still waiting to go through). While I was there I picked up an art and excelled at it, so much so that I started to get national recognition in the states. I came back to my home country by myself at 17 years of age and continued to work at the craft until now (I'm 23) I have since gotten major recognition in my home country as well as international prizes but I have always wanted to get back to the states where my peers work together to improve the art.
I believe I am qualified enought to get an EB-1 visa, I can get letter of recognition and the such, but my question is: how will I be affected by the fact that I overstayed my welcome before?
thanks
