  • Annotation in B1 10years visa

In 2009 sometime around May i applied for a B1/B2 visa to attend a volunteering program in the states. I got a 10yrs B1 visa with an annotation inside that says to participate in *** program from May-August 2009. I have travelled to the states twice for the same volunteer program since i was issued the visa in 2009 and on both occasions when i passed through immigration (in the states) i had a letter from the volunteer program that stated my purpose for travelling. What i want to know, will i be able to travel to the states with that same visa without a letter stating the purpose for my travel? I was student in college at the time, I have graduated and am now working. I want to visit the states when i get my two weeks leaves from work to shop and attend a conference for next year. Do I have to give some sort of letter of proof to state my purpose for travelling to the states for the reason I say i am or like when i travelled to participate in the volunteer program? I also want to know, if I am restricted to enter the states because of the annotation, will i have to present a letter or something to state why I'm travelling? Would I need to re-apply for a visa to permit entry to the states for the reasons earlier mentioned?
