I have a B1/B2 .expires in 2016..after the Visa stamping i have never traveled its almost 4 years ..can i travel now ? will it be a status quo on the visa? how do i check if the US Govt has not withdrawn it since i haven't used it at all ? please do help me out

Do not worry. You can travel on it anytime during its validity.
They do not care if you do not travel .
They care only if you travel and break the immigration law.

I used my 10 yr b1/b2 6 years after its issuance--- and no problems.

That's fine as long as you have a B1/B2 like purpose (Tourism/Business etc.) in traveling to US.
