Hey!
My current Indian Passport has given name Blank and surname with my Full name. I had got my B1/B2 visa with this passport and in the visa i have given name as "FNU" (first name unknown) and surname with my full name. This was done to match with my current passport.
Now its time for me to renew my passport as the expiry is coming close. I am also planning to correct this unfortunate naming mistake and keep my first and middle name as the given name and just my last name as the surname.
My questions here are:
1. Do I need to apply for a new US visa? Ive read that carrying both the passports with required documents would be good enough to convince the office at the port of entry. If that's fine then in the case of my simple name bifurcation, what would suffice as a supporting document
2. If i have to re apply for a new visa, do i qualify for the interview waiver program? And if i do, do i have to still go for the ofc?
Any help would be great.
