  • Urgent please: Is it better to work in the USA with my Canadian Inc. or my name?

    Hi;

    I am a parmenant resident of Canada and I got a contract in Denver, USA.
    I have a registered incorporation in Canada

    1- Should I work with my Canadian Incorporation or with my name? Which is better in terms of taxes and visa?

    2- Would the days to get the Canadian Citizenship would still count if I am working in the US with my Canadian incorporation?

    3- What is the kind of visa that I need to apply to in both cases? And how long it is going to take

    Thank you in advance

    *. as far as I know , to apply for canadian citizenship , you actually have to live in canada as a PR for 3 years.
    Working for a canadian corp abroad ; that time counts towards the 2 out of 5 years you need to maintain your PR.

    *.If you have a business outside US running for at least 1 year , and you open a branch in US , you may qualify for L1 visa to run
    the US branch. L1 requires an approved petition with USCIS.

    You MUST talk to a US immigration attorney before considering any US visa.
