H4 visa pending since April 02, 2013

i have attended the PA in chennai on 02-apr-2013. It was in pending since then. Yesterday Status Updated Date has been changed to 22-AUG-2013. Today at 10:30 AM status has been changed as mentioned below.

Status: Ready
Application ID or Case Number: YYYY YYYY YYYY
Case Creation Date: 01-Apr-2013
Status Updated Date: 23-Aug-2013

Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application.

I felt very happy and expected a good news but immediately after half an hour status has been changed back to Administrative Processing. I don't understand what is going on in my case. Againa it is back to AP status.

Same case here. "Status Updated Date" changed to 22nd Aug and today status changed to Ready for sometime and then changed back to Administrative Processing.

Don't worry about this. Its normal for status to change back to AP after Ready. You should see the status change to Issued by EOD today IST and email from ustraveldocs to pick up passport. Even my wifes H4 visa status changed to Ready today morning and back to AP.

Even my visa and my kids visa went through the same status changes last week and changed to issued by EOD.

Today My case status has been changed to Issued. Here how it goes...

today morning at around 10:30 AM case has been updated and the status has been changed Ready. After one hour exactly, case status has been reverted to Administrative Processing. I got tensed and browsed all the forums and realised that before it is getting issued status will be reverted to AP again.

Around 3PM status has been changed to Issued.

My Observations:
If the status Updated Date of your case is changed, it means they are processing you case. Immediate next day please monitor the case status in ceac.state.gov every 30 mins or 1 hr. It will be changed to Ready some time and again it will be reverted to Administrative Processing. Once the Status Updated Date is modified second time, any time you may expect the status to be changed to Issued.

This is my observation and analysis only...

Thanks all for the information and all the best for every one..It has taken almost 5 months for me to get the visa..Waiting for the Passport...

There has been multiple visa issued on20th and so many status updates changed to August 20 th.

Yes, the status has been changed to Issued but its not updated in the PDF.

Got my visa cleared today... after 162 days of wait... Thanks a lot to all who posted their case on this forum and special thanks to sntbca for sharing the stats (it seems he too got his visa through)...

There has been huge backlog cleared in the last couple of days... may be USCIS was busy earlier with annual H1 lottery resulting in backlog for normal cases... anyways patience paid off...

200+ days for a business visa but no update

Guys,

First of all, congratulation to everybody who got their visa after such a long wait. I have been waiting for mine since Feb 2013 but havent had any updates at all.
Every email that I send to them comes back with an automated response.

Tracking the passport status via, passportstatus email id, gives me a reply "There is no status update available".

This is really very frustrating... why dont they follow a First In First Out process wherein everybody will know when their visa will be processed?

I had appeared for an interview on 2nd May 2013 and I was qualified for a B1 but my case required "Administrative Processing". They have retained my passport as well. Now I have to travel to other country and need the passport from the Chennai Consulate.

What is the procedure to get my passport back?

Note: My case is still pending administrative processing.

Good capture my friend even i am following their chart on a regular basis as my B1 visa also went onto Administrative processing 221g on May 10th, last week i have requested my passport back as i have to travel to another country hope i should receive some mail from them as"Send PPT" soon, so based on that i am planning to submit for stamping.

But good to see that on June 5th at 1 shot they cleared 55 pending cases.

Anasanwer, call the consulate where you gave the interview and tell them u have to travel to another country in urgently

Simply send a mail to Consulate and they will send ur passport back to u but the admin process will be continued and once the process is over they will notify u to resubmit the passport to get the visa.all the best .I had the same situation as u and I received my passport.

my b1 visa is under administration process from 11 months. my case never got updated before 15 September but it got updated twice on 16 and 17 September. its still under administration process. what does this mean?? m i going to get good news soon???
