Extending Schengen Business VISA?

I am presently in Spain on a 90 day short stay Schengen VISA. My VISA expires in one months time and I wish to extend my stay.

Is there any way that I can get an extension. Please also explain which place I should contact to get an extension and what documents to provide.

You'll have to ask at the Oficina de extranjeros, or a police station, if they'll extend your visa with proof of funds and a good reason, but it'll be hit or miss.
