B1 visa application_ F1 denied previously

Hi,

My F-1 (student visa) was rejected in 2011 . two times in span of 15 days.. both the times I had 214 (b).

Now I am applying for B1 visa for 2 months duration , will F-1 rejection have any impact on my B1 visa.

Please help , even my employer is worried about that... will I be questioned about f-1?

You will have to declare on the form that you were denied f1 back in 2011.
And the officer will have the past data in front of him.

That said, your B2 app will be assessed mostly on its own merit.
If your current situation is favourable for B1 , that is the officer is convinced you will return,
the last F1 denial will not have any impact on it.

favorable for B1 are stability of your job, good salary, strength of company, good experience with the employer,
clear cut agenda during your visit, short duration of visit to US( keep it to 2-3 wks , not more)

i do have all the supporting documents from the employer , client .

And it would be around 6-8 weeks trip.
