Certification of Retiree Income and Bank Accounts
I am planning to sponsor 5 members of our non-profit organizations Board Members from Kenya to come to the US next year to participate in a Planning Conference with our US Board. I am retired and derive all of my income from my retirement account. Do I just indicate that I am a retiree and then don't need to get proof of employment? Also, are statements from my 401-k fund sufficient? Do these need to be notarized? Thanks.

No you cannot sponsor their trip with your retiree status. If they have good earnings, they should show self funding. You just need to send them
invitations for the business purpose. -
Why can't I sponsor them? I have more than sufficient means to support this trip. Does it help if I complete the support form from the organization? I am planning to pay for their full trip costs out of my pocket. What is wrong with that?Comment

For a visitor visa application to be succesful it is always better that the visitors pay their own way.Comment
