  • B1 to L1 and back to B1

Hi all, below is my situation:
    - I got a multiple entry B1 visa valid for 10 years in 2006. Visited the US in 2007 on a B1.
    - My company processed an L1A visa on 2012 and moved to the US in Aug 2012. Stayed there for a 17 months and returned in Dec 2013.
    - Now I have changed jobs so the L1A is obviously not valid.
My question is - can I now go to the US on my original B1? Our company lawyer says YES but another immigration attorney had told me that the B1 status is no longer valid since it was changed to L1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    AJ

Yes you can use your B1/B2 as long as you didn't misuse it. There is no such thing that a visa can change to another one.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
