  • should i come back

Long story short i got my B1 in jan 2013 and traveled to US on B1 for 3 weeks in feb and came back in march 2013.
This time i traveled again in dec 13 and when the officer asked abt my stay i told him 4 months and he got shocked and latter asked for my return ticket which was for after 4 months but in my invitation letter the date was for 3 months so gradually he asked me to collect my luggage and asked me to wait down for further questioning and once he came to me he gave me visa I94 for only 3 months and strictly asked me not to stay for long and no extension will be provided so do not ask for it. ( NO STAMP {like no AOS, EOS, COS and stuff o ON MY PASSPORT But he has written with pen and wrote down date of 3 months from now and also updated that he has documented everything in his server.

I guess this is because that i94 is automatic procedure now? Please confirm?

Now say my I94 is getting expired on march 15th so should i book my tickets for early date or would it be ok if i book it for 14th of march .
and also i am planning to come back again in US in may for another 3 months its a big project for my comp and i would need to take up training sessions to train my india team.
in the mean time i might file my H1.

Please let me know if at all i should come back so soon for another 3 months and will this questing round (happened recently )will affect my H1 or not.
Any help would be highly appreciated/

I do not think you should come back so soon. he may have flagged your data in their computer so your visa will be at risk the next time.

So give it a few months before you return.
Also, With B1 they are sensitive to long term stays because companies have been misusing B1s and making their employees work on B1s. which is not allowed.

About the departure date this time; one should allow for any airline delays, weather issues, and book for a few days earlier
rather than the last day of the I-94.
