Visa for a Sales Person?

I am new to the site so I hope I am posting correctly.
I am a Canadian Professional Sales Person who is interested in relocating to the United States with my family. I have heard it is hard for a sales person to obtain a US Working Visa. Is this correct? I have some contacts in the USA that I would like to call to see if there is any interest in their part and would like to be sure I can obtain a visa if we decide to move forward. Any information or web links would be helpful.

Do you wish to immigrate or go to work for some years only?

For temporary work visas;
1.for canadian citizens, E visas ( treaty trader/ investor) is an option.
2.If you are in a managerial capacity in your company, your company could send you on an L-1 visa
to its branch in USA , if any.
3.H worker. , you could be hired as an H-1b worker or an H2b worker.

To immigrate,in general, you will have to be sponsored by an employer or a family member.
