Can I use B1 from previous employer to enter US?

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen currently working in Canada ( on Canadian Work Permit)?
I have a B1 issued from my previous employer ( valid till 2020 , Multiple entry, used once to enter US from India in 2010). This visa was issued at US visa consulate , Chennai.
Can I use this visa to go to US to attend a conference ? or should I apply a new B1 visa?

a 10 yr multiple entry visa becomes a general purpose -- visitor /business visa . so you can use it any time within its validity for those purposes.
you do not need to apply for a new one.
