  • urgent help: Exit date not mentioned on the stamping of b1 visa at the POE

    Hello Experts

I have a query on my b1 visa stamping at the port of entry.
Yesterday I cleared immigration at the port of entry. But I see that the US customs officer has not mentioned the exit day from the USA on the Admission stamping. He has only mentioned the entry date and forgot to mention the exit date on the stamping. I realized this when I went back to the hotel.

I am on a business visit for 15 days. Can you guys please advise me whether I have to take any steps on this?

Thanks in advance for your help.
    Amit

    ok. first of all do this;

    go to https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request....Gyx!2046085739

and print a copy of your I-94 . If you have an exit date on this , you do not need to worry about anything.

Still, for completeness's sake , you can call the deferred inspection site close to your residence ( listed on cbp.gov) and visit them with the I-94 copy
for the correction in your passport.

      My experience

      Hello guys,

Peace is an expert here, But i would like to share my own experience, When i arrived at JFK, I was in huge confusion about the i94 form (much heard) which i wasn't given in the flight only custom form was given, but i stood in line for immigration, I was looking at other peoples hand whether they were having i94 form or not, I was feeling weird at the same time, because people were looking back at me, then to clear my confusion i asked official person who were standing there, They told me that i94 form process has been withdrawn now, I confirmed twice

but when i cleared the Immigration & found that Immigration officer stamped on my passport b1, entry & exit date which was six months from the entry date, However, I think exit date has to be mentioned on the passport, if not mentioned then you can do as Peace is suggesting,

      Cheers!!!

yes, no physical I-94. it is all electronic now.

but you can print it out from the cbp website I mentioned. That printout serves as a proof of your authorized stay.

and yes, he should get the passport stamp corrected from the cbp office.

          Hello Peace

Since I do not have any proof of i94, I didn't take any Print out from CBP website, I have got Entry stamp & stamp of the time i was allowed. but no departure date from JFK to back to India.

I have read somewhere here that Now CBP collect the Data from the passengers tickets because passport? Is this correct?

Can i still download the i94 form or no need?

          Pls advise.

          Thanks

            informations

when you leave US, the airlines give CBP the names and other data ( passport no. etc) of all the passengers. This way your departure from
US is recorded in the CBP's data base.

When you go to the cbp site I mentioned in my previous post; you can also access and printout your arrival departure history for the last 5 years.
So no I-94 required after you leave.
