B1/B2 Visa going with F1 visa holder

Hi,

My husband has just obtained a F1 visa for his studies and I am seeking employment in the US. I have B1/B2 visa from my previous company. But that was acquired for a business visit. Can I use the same visa to visit him in the US or do I have to take a new visa ?
Also, if I wish to join him in the US on F2 will my B1/B2 be replaced with F2?
Any suggestions you have to help me join with my husband in the US smoothly apart from the ones I have put up above.

Can you please help me with the above queries?

you can use the same B1/B2 to visit. And you can change status to F2 in the US. If you change status to F2 in US, your B1/B2 will remain intact.

But applying for an F2 at home country is risky. It can be denied and your B1/B2 can be cancelled.
