  • B1 VISA on hold due to "Administrative Processing"

    Hi Friends,

I had my B1-VISA interview on 9-July-2014, VO asked me few questions about my company, project etc, and finally, he returned my passport and handed over me a blue 221(g) form.

He said, my VISA has been put on hold with following reason:
“Your Application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made"

In the 221(g) form, the VO did not write anything about adding any required document to 221(g).

But in the form, under general instructions, it is mentioned that we need to attest the required document to 221(g) and submit it at VISA office.
Post which, the application process will start.
I am currently unaware of what are the required documents.

Also during the interview, VO told me that it would take around 1-2 weeks before consulate sends me a mail. But its been three weeks but I haven't got any response from them.

Is there anyway we can contact them?

Your suggestions here would be very much appreciated.

Hi Folks, anybody came across 221(g) administrative processing in this group?? If yes, how long did it take before you got any reply from US consulate?
