Immigration Officer wrongly stamped as B2 instead of B1 - CLARIFY!

Hi..

I came to US (POE - SFO) on Business trip (B1) on 2nd August from India.

But, the Immigration Officer has marked as "B2" in the passport stamp and the same is reflected online I-94 form.

Is this a concern, if yes ? please help to correct it.

What the officer stamped was based on his interpretation of the reason for your visit, based on his short interview with you. Or it may have just been a routine stamping to him.

It really makes little difference, as you are using a visitor visa with a specific allowable stay time, after which you return to India (presumably), and nobody will be concerned with your "B" visa type in the future (unless you overstay).

Anyways, I am returning to India October 2nd week. Hope this does not pop up.
