Dear Immihelpers,
Please share your tips/experiences on avoiding the 221(g) administrative processing procedure. I have to present a research paper at a conference in the USA and my education is in chemical engineering which falls under the Technology Alert List (TAL). I had to undergo this procedure 6 years back and wasted almost 2 months at it. This time I would like to avoid any delay. I have compiled a few tips based on the experiences I read on the internet. I would really appreciate if you could add to this.
1. Be succinct albiet accurate in responses to the visa officer's questions
2. Do not overuse technical jargon and use layman terms whenever possible
3. Be prepared with answers to the most probable questions and appear confident.
