  • B1 visa got rejected, reapplying , need help

    hi all , need help,

my b1 visa got rejected , doc provided was 214 b , no reason provided orally, may be due to 8 weeks in ds160 , reapplying again , need help on following query :

    - What can be explained that why it got rejected last time ? does saying one word 214 b suffice ? or what to explain ?

just write 'denied under 214b" . They have the specifics of each case on their computers so they will know when you go for the interview.

they won't ask this question. Like I said they already have this on their computers so it does not serve them any purpose to ask this.

The more important issue for you to consider is if it makes any sense applying so soon. The reason for denial could be 8 weeks and could also be
your length of employment with the company, your salary or your position with the company.
None of these you can change reapplying so soon. And if you present them with a short duration they will want to know how come you came down from
        8 weeks to shorter duration?

You are very right, appreciate, length of employment, sal and position with org has not changed and had no plans to reapply soon as after my last rejection, that work got assigned to my onsite back-up and I was moved to a different project, coincidentally in this project I was asked to undertake a week of business meetings to create FY15 plan for my new offshore team in india, I work as a team lead, would like to know your opinion on this situation.

Even if you actually have a new assignment with a shorter duration, the visa officer will not be so sure . As he will suspect you are desperate to go.
You should wait till next year before applying again.
