Mistake in DS 160 , wrong intended length of stay in US

Hi ,

I am going to have biometrics on 21st and interview on 22 nd May....submitted my DS 160 form already and booked appointment with it ,

The problem is i filled wrong intended length of stay in US as 30 months instead of 3 weeks

Now , i talked to visa desk in my company , they said to me carry new application form with new application id with correct information as 3 weeks

They told me to show my new DS 160 form to biometric officer and in Interview also and tell them that mistake happened.

Will this work ?

My intended date of going is 1st JUNE as per invite letter from US.

That may work, since it's a small error and you don't have time to correct it and reschedule the appointment.

Carry any document, which supports your version. (Your travel itinerary/company letter etc.)

Get a new form , when you go for fingerprint , there will be all indian people there

tell them to update your new application id , they will update it in the system and same can be used for the next day (interview)

they will paste the new application id bar code on the passport back

He approved my passport and took it , on their status website also its showing issued but let see if it comes stamped or not
