Malaysian Passport, not indicating first/last name

Hi,

My passport only has a column which states everything in one line (last name, first name) (Chinesee). I read that if we have only either one of first or last name indicated in the passport, we will have to put that in the surname column and put FNU in the first name column.

However, in my case, there is not indicated which is the surname and last name.

My first name is Joo Liang and last name is Tan.

I have checked with my fellow Malaysians and they have all put Tan as the surname and Joo Liang as the first name without any troubles.

However, I am applying from India and I am not sure if this will work over here too?
