Can I Apply for B1 Visa?

Hello
To give you some background, I am an IT professional, and I work from India for a US company as an individual contractor. In India I don't have an employer. Earlier when I was in US, I worked for this same US company (currently my client) as an employee.

Now, my client wants me to visit US for a month to meet the current US team I am managing. As most of them are unknown to me and work closely with them for some time. It will also help us to connect when I am back in India and working remotely with the US team.

Now my questions are:
1. Am I eligible to apply B1 visa for this scenario as an individual, since I don't have a direct employer?
2. Can my client sponsor my visa and travel expenses?

A month seems like a pretty long time to meet people. You will have to overcome the presumption that you are coming to work.

Yes. In my case, my client is the sponsor and its approved. I am not sure about your first question.
