  • US visa for job interview

    Hi All,

I am based in UK and nationality is not british . I have checked us embassy page and understand I have to apply for visa .
I understand I have to fill a form in and then call to make an appointment which can take up to 1 month or more. My job interview is urgent and really hard to wait one month for this and further few days while this is processed.
I have read you can apply for expedited processing or in another way urgent appointment , is this possible?
I think I need B1 visa as business visitor( job interview) . Do I need to have my hotel and airline ticket all booked ?
I don’t want to book it as I don’t know when I will get the result.

    Thanks

Current wait time for an appointment @ London embassy is 21 days. Add to that processing time, and yes, you're looking at a month's time.

Emergency appointments? Sure thing - here, took me about 20 seconds to find it - http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new...cy_london.html

It is my pleasure to Google stuff for you.

A job interview is rarely, if ever, a reason to get an expedited appointment.

This is when you say "Thanks for your help!"

The only people in the world that call each others "mate" are aussies or kiwis, mate. If you were an aussie or a kiwi, you would know that neither one needs a visa for the US.

        Thanks for playing, though.
