Can I have h4 and b1 visa together?

I have h4 visa and currently residing in INDIA. My employer is applying b1 for me. Can I have h4 & b1 visa together.? Or h4 will get cancelled if I am getting b1 visa?

Having both H4 and B1 visas concurrently is OK. It is however more common to have a B1/B2 and then get an H1B, L1 or H4. Why would you apply for a B1/B2 if you have a valid H4 on your passport? Makes no sense.

Unless, of course, the primary applicant (whoever has the H1B your H4 depends on) does NOT have such an H1 anymore . . . and hence your H4 is also invalid.

Being as it is in India, I wouldn't be surprised you're asked WHY you need a B1/B2 when you already have an H4 - and depending on your answers, leaving with both, leaving with only one, or leaving with none.

Can i apply a B1 along with a un-used/untravelled H4.

I have a H4 and I am in India currently. My husband is in US on H1.
However, now, my organization here wants to send me on B1. Is that also a problem? Can i have conflicts on my H4 or are there chances of my B1 getting rejected.
Please suggest what can be a possible work around for this.
